The calendar at the Forever Fun department at Round 2, LLC is fast-forwarded one year. All 2010 VALENTINE and 2010 EASTER product proposals are due to our sales reps. – for spring seasonal presentations. And back to today, we are in the middle of production of our 2009 HALLOWEEN product and beginning to release 2009 CHRISTMAS product specs and packaging to the factories.
Within the next week or two we will be setting our plans for our 2010 CHRISTMAS products for Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, Little Drummer Boy, and Peanuts - Charlie Brown Christmas. From planning product to actual product samples, there are multiple stages of things going on in this department — all happening at the same time!

Great stuff. Hope to see more updates soon.

Will we finally see the classic Frosty characters in 2010? Funko is doing a 1969 Frosty this year so is there hope that Professor Hinkle, Karen, and Hocus Pocus will be joining the bunch? It’s so stupid how these Frosty characters aren’t part of the property and they’re the ones everyone remembers most. (I love FRosty’s Winter Wonderland too but I would just like to see the original characters in the line as well.)

Not for 2009 or even 2010. It’s still in negotiation; complicated and bogged down. Someday, we may be able to fulfill our original plans ……

Sigh, I wonder why they always give your team a hard time with Frosty because these would be GREAT!
I thought there may be hope now since Funko is doing a bobble of the original Frosty design. The last time original Frosty was used was when Build-A_Bear did it so I’ve always held out hope that it would happen.
Any hope for more new characters from Winter Wonderland? Maybe some of the kids, the human Parson Brown, Traffic Cop, or even the narrator? There is interest in these from fans and collectors. Some have even wanted the sleigh with the horses. I know you can’t do things that are too obscure on their own but perhaps there’s a way you could package them with a popular character to ensure no shelf warmers if that’s a fear? A lot of us wish that dancing Frosty with the North Pole sign had been made because a lot of us would love a North Pole sign in our displays. (I’ve been with our stuff since year one at Media Play/Suncoast/Sam Goody and will be with it until the lines end. I know other people who came aboard later on who are just as committed collectors.) Would it also be possible to fold in more Christmas in July characters into the Frosty line? Maybe King Winterbolt, the villain of that film since that’s in keeping with the winter theme?
Thanks for the reply though. It’s greatly appreciated.

I forgot to ask, why haven’t you ever made a Frosty PVC set? I know clip ons were planned a few years ago and Frosty appeared in the train but why not a PVC set so we can display the other characters with the Rudolph, Santa Claus, and now Drummer Boy ones? It might also be a great way to get some of the more obscure characters out there. Just a thought.

When will the Valentine Peanuts be unveiled? From the picture it looks like they will be boxed rather than carded. Will the 5 inch figures be the same as the 3 inch figures from last year ( Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Lucy and Linus) Also any chance for a Marcie Easter Figure?

Valentine Peanuts Mini Figures are boxed this year and have three small temporary tattoos included with each figure. We tried to replace Sally for Lucy this year but she didn’t fly; so we have the usual suspects. Peanuts Easter is the same story: Charlie, Lucy, Linus and Snoopy with their Easter baskets. The only difference from last year will be the premier of the ‘official style guide’ graphics. Our website is currently being updated with the Christmas items appearing this season and when complete, the spring season offerings will be added to the site.

Thanks for answering my question regarding the Spring line up for Peanuts . What is the offical style grahics? Also the Franklin figures as mentioned elsewhere is short packed. Is that TRU doing. I know it mentioned that some stores only want the same figures .. But after awhile doesn’t that hurt sales if new figures are short packed or not mde at all. I mean it great to have the core figures ( Lucy, Snoppy, Charlie Browm and Lnus ) but great to add characters as well.

What happened to the Peanuts figures in the picture? It looks like they were 5 inch Valentine figures?

We can see by the picture that protype seem to have been made for the 5 inch figure Valentine ( Charlie brown red shirt, Snoppy as Cupid with Woodtock) Understandly it is too late for this Valentine . Is it possible that next year these could come out

Let’s just say, I was optimitic when I posted the image of Valentine mockups. The poseable Valentine figures seemed like a natural. As you know, we present our ideas every year and some of them stick. Of course, we will be persistent and try again next year; and all of us can remain optimistic….

Terri R - Thank for taking the time to answer my question. It kinda nice to see a picture of what could of been product foir the Peanuts line. It must be frustrating for you guys to produce a mock up to a retailer and have them say No. It just seem that Peanuts is more that just Christmas. Just know that there are fan eager to buy and hopefully you will find a retailer who will allow that to happen . Keep up the wonderful worl and no matter what direction the line goes . There are fans .. Jim
