One of the most anticipated elements of Round 2’s new Captain Action toy line is the Avengers Assemble Build-A-Costume. The first Avengers Assemble will feature Marvel’s battling bowman, Hawkeye! Each of the six planned Marvel costume sets will include an element of Hawkeye’s costume, allowing collectors to assemble an Avenger with the rest of their heroes! In the first Round 2 costume set releases, the deluxe Spider-Man costume set will include Hawkeye’s Bow, Arrows and Quiver, while Captain America’s deluxe costume set will include Hawkeye’s boots.

Long time fans of the wise-cracking Hawkeye will recall that he fist appeared in Tales of Suspense #57, where he was a villain who battled Iron Man. Captain America later recruited him, along with other reformed criminals, to become the second group of Avengers. The brash and impulsive Hawkeye grew from the griping dissenter to a true hero, leading such teams as the West Coast Avengers and the Thunderbolts. Similar to Captain Action, Hawkeye too has assumed other super-hero identities, Goliath and Ronin. As a mainstay in the current Avengers animated series and after his debut in Thor, Hawkeye is now poised to conquer the silver screen in next summer’s blockbuster film The Avengers!
